Christine was born into a family of artists and her creativity has been utilised in many ways throughout her working life. She was originally trained as a Mayfair hair stylist and has since worked extensively with fabrics including needlepoint, patchwork, appliqué, wall hangings, dressmaking, soft furnishings and was the founder of the leisurewear company ‘Cedarow’.

In recent years, Christine has developed a real passion for painting that displays itself vividly in her beautiful vibrant landscapes, still life, local Cotswold scenes and more recently abstract. She has worked on commissions in pen and ink, colour wash, watercolour and oil but her preferred medium is oil where the ability to “push the paint around the canvas” gives her the greatest freedom to express her love of light, colour and form.
Her own extensive collection of jugs and vases housed in her wonderful Cotswold cottage feature in many of the still life paintings and local scenes. These are enhanced by the array of flowers from her garden. Christine has attended Master Classes with Sue Wales for 5 years and has her paintings in Australia and the USA. She has exhibited at the ‘Faith in Art Exhibition’ and ‘Open Studios’ in Stroud and at the Teazle Gallery in Nailsworth. Christine has put on her own Stroud Exhibition of her work for a number of years. Other interests include being an active member of Stroud Christian Fellowship, gardening, entertaining, theatre, walking the dog and her five grandchildren.
